This is the knot I used when I broke my rod on a Steelhead on the Clearwater and had to grab my other rod and tie the line to it while the Steelhead parked herself behind a big rock midstream. Once I got it tied I used an ol' timer's trick to get her out by "twanging" the line like a guitar string. She came bustin' out of there and I finally landed her with a story to tell. She went back to the river unharmed and still weighing 12.5 pounds. I thanked her as she swam off.
