A crashed Friedrichshafen FF.49 two-seat reconnaissance seaplane pokes out of the top of one of the taller buildings near its base in Germany (1918). You can just make out the “lozenge camouflage” pattern on the aircraft’s tail which was used from late 1916 until the end of the war. [660 × 1024]
