Throughout the book, Of Mice and Men, Steinbeck uses a lot of literary elements. One element that he focuses on a lot is foreshadowing. The highlight of the element is when Candy tells Curley's wife to stay away from Lennie. However, in chapter five, the tables turn as Curley's wife walks in and starts to talk with Lennie and she dies in the hands of Lennie. This example consists of foreshadowing from chapter five, which carries to chapter six and shows how Steinbeck crafted his novel.
