Japanese Awa odori dancers at the month long Gion Matsuri (Festival). The festival takes place annually in Kyoto and is one of the most famous festivals in Japan.

Awa odori is among the most famous folk dancing during Bon festivals- to honor the spirits of one's ancestors.
