Reflection Lake Sunset
This is 3 exposures blended together using my advanced Photoshop tonality control and multiple exposure blending techniques. I produced a video detailing these techniques, it's available here: www.zschnepf.com I also blended different focal points, it's really the only way to keep focus on this type of image. While scouting for the next day I stopped by Reflection Lake and was treated to a very cool sunset. This photo was taken while leading a workshop at Mount Rainier in August. I'll be…
Still just sitting there after all these years. Waiting to... launch into space! The blue haze between the trees is a bit of fog over Eagle Harbor, Bainbridge Island.

I set out to make the hike to Comet Falls (whick I did) but upon my arrival I found that most of the area was covered in snow still. After getting my butt kicked in 90 degree weather and climing 1,000 feet in elevation with all of my…
Mount Rainier wildflowers

Trust me, this never happens to me so I was in absolute awe and had to pinch myself a few times. The mountain did not have quite as many colorful clouds around it but I will post the mtn shot at a later date :) Heading to another beautiful US location until next week. Wish me luck on some decent light there, at least, for very little rain. Hope you all have a fabulous week and…
Storms roll in over fields of wildflowers and the Tatoosh mountain range at sunset. Mount Rainier National Park, Washington. The title is from the moon's point of view (found an exposure with it peeking through the clouds that somehow I ignored two years ago).
The Wildflowers of Paradise
www.davidrironsjrphotography.com Hello everyone. I decided to make an impromptu visit to Mt Rainier on Wednesday. I had nothing better to do after getting home from work at 12:30am! So I drove hoping to capture a fantastic sunrise with wildflowers and Mt Rainier. Mother Nature had other ideas, like fog! So what is a landscape photographer supposed to do? Well I hunkered down and made the best of the situation and found little compositions of flowers, deer, bees....those to come a little…
