Height Chart
We had a lot of fun doing a height measurement chart with the kids today. The kids chose yarn and flower colors and we saw just how much they've sprouted! Inspiration for this chart came from Learning and Teaching with Preschoolers. They also link some other very interesting looking measurement activities! I was also inspired by their basket of measuring tapes, so I included the only one that I could find and added some strings, some taller and some shorter than their bodies. Let's just see…

Kindergarten Was a Hoot Bulletin Board
I made this cute end of the year Owl Unit for grades k-5! See the post {HERE}. It comes with a cute owl craft and 11 memory journal entries. First we made our owl craft. I used the corner bulletin board to make a tree out of construction paper for the owls to sit in! I displayed their journal entries close to the bulletin board. I layered their writing so the parents can flip through their owl journal reflections and see all of them at once. Small binder clips are great for clipping the…

Paper Plate Farm Animals
I happen to think paper plate animals are incredibly cute! You may remember that we made some sheep earlier ... You can find the link here. We also made a pig and cow to go with our sheep. I didn't use any templates I just drew the shapes need by hand. Note: When I first planned to do this activity I had some snack sized paper plates ready to use with regular sized ones but they were actually too big. I ended up finding some small paper plates just the right size in a Riot Art & Craft Store.
