ずいぶん前に使っていたノートに岩波書店の「日本古典文学大系」のコピーを発見した。『古事記』(校注は倉野憲司と武田祐吉)中巻のある一節をマーキングしてある。神武天皇の弟分のような存在である大久米命が、神武天皇のために神の御子である比売多多良伊須気与理比売(ひめたたらいすけよりひめ、後の神武皇后)を見出す場面だ。 爾に大久米命、天皇の命(みこと)を以ちて、其の伊須気与理比売に詔(の)りし時、其の大久米命の黥(さ)ける利目(とめ)を見て、奇(あや)しと思ひて歌曰(うた)ひけらく、 あめつつ 千鳥ましとと など黥(さ)ける利目(とめ) とうたひき。爾に大久米命、答へて歌曰(うた)ひけらく、 媛女(をとめ)に 直(ただ)に遇(あ)はむと 我が黥ける利目 とうたひき。この二首について、たぶん2、3はエントリーが書けるな。「アメツツ」「チドリマシトト」の意味、二首の関係などたいへんおもしろい。だけれども、ここで注目したいのは「黥ける利目」の部分。註にはこうある。…
