Akira Kurosawa - March 1910 – September was a Japanese film director, screenwriter, producer, and editor. Regarded as one of the most important and influential filmmakers in the history of cinema, Kurosawa directed 30 films in a career spanning 57 years.

Japanese verbal entertainment, Rakugo 落語: The lone storyteller sits on a stage, using only a paper fan and a small cloth as props, and without standing up from the sitting position, the rakugo artist depicts a long and complicated comical story. The story always involves the dialogue of two or more characters, the difference between the characters depicted only through change in pitch, tone, and a slight turn of the head.
