HMS Diana(D126), a Daring-class destroyer. Planned during WW II by the RN. The design reflected developments of the Pacific campaign, including long range and the ability to efficiently Replenish At Sea (RAS). She was built by Yarrow and Co. at Clydebank.Laid down 03/04/47 &, commissioned 29/03/54. Was to be named HMS Druid but this changed prior to launching. Sold to Peruvian Navy in '69 & renamed BAP Palacios, stricken in '93.
