This opulent velvet costume acquires the rich Renaissance colours from an autumn palette and captivates through the combination of warm red-brown velvet and a silk taffeta in a cool green. Of note are also the decoration and the petticoat which is worn over a so-called 'Vertugadin' i.e. crinoline.
