THRANDUIL IS WEARING A FLANNEL. Rugged Reindeer King of Mirkwood. LotR ("I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay...")
Lee as Thranduil (Hobbit II)
Day 29 challenge. Obviously Thranduil. He looked stunning. I just couldn't stop staring when i first saw him. :D
Thranduil needs his own movie because I guess he's a little misunderstood. He's such a great and wonderfull character and we see so little of him. All we see is a cold mask and a b*tch. But there is so much more than that. His true feeling and his true pain. And Lee Pace is an a-m-a-z-i-n-g actor ♡
“It was a little chilling, to be honest. I looked so different from myself. It was very interesting. The way the character is designed — he’s beautiful, he’s exquisite. There’s something very ethereal about him. But also unforgiving and cold. We figured that out with the way he looks before I even shot a scene. We would do the costume fittings and I would be like, ‘Yeah, he takes up a lot of space this guy. He belongs on a throne.’”--Lee Pace on playing Thranduil
