THEODORE ROOSEVELT’S SMITH AND WESSON NEW MODEL NO. 3 REVOLVER: This revolver is attributed by Smith & Wesson factory records to future U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt. He most likely took delivery of this gun just prior to training his Rough Riders at San Antonio, Texas. This gun features "combat target" sights and is one of only three or four known to have been chambered for the .38 U.S.Service caliber cartridge (.38 Colt).

Colt Bisley Target Revolver - A total of 976 Colt Bisley Target revolvers with their distinctive flat-top profile were manufactured. But ours is marked for the .44-40 cartridge of which only 78 guns were produced. The ivory grip panels don’t hurt this one’s collector interest either. Instead of the usual groove down the top of the receiver, the GOTD had a windage-adjustable rear sight and a removable front sight insert that could be swapped for elevation changes.

.22 Colt “Camp Perry”- Julian Hatcher, soon to serve as Technical Editor for American Rifleman magazine’s Dope Bag section, came to the firing line with a .22 Colt “Camp Perry”. This unusual single-shot from Colt blended a revolver’s frame with a swing-out single-shot bar of a cylinder. While Hatcher failed to match any of the records established by fellow shooters, perhaps his memory of the fine times there by Lake Erie caused him to have his name and the date engraved on the side.
