King Penguin and chick, South There is a colony of a quarter million ofGeorgia Island. This Island has a colony of a quarter million of King Penguins. Here a mother penguin guides her chick, which still sports its baby feathers.
Saw a big guy like this the other day on the side of the road - it was eating something, likely roadkill. I grew up in a neighborhood named after the Falcon and I don't know how common it is to see these badasses but I was excited. And I was pretty thankful I actually got to see one of the Peregrine's that supposedly inhabit our city. #falcon
