Hassan Tower is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco, and at the time intended to be the world's largest.  After four years, construction on the new mosque ended, in 1199, and was never resumed.

Hassan Tower is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco. Begun in the tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with the mosque. In Sultan Yacub al-Mansour died and construction on the mosque stopped.
