Extremely rare 26" French bisque poupée deposed by A. Leverd et Cie for his recessed cutout in the scalp for realistic wig placement, circa 1869, made for only one or two years. Mark on head is 8 Bte SGDG. Bte SGDG is an abbreviation of "Breveté Sans Garantie du Gouvernement," which means "Patented No Government Warranty."
