Colonel General of the Luftwaffe Alexander Löhr. An Austrian, he saw action in WW1 and in WW2 he transferred to the Reich air force. He was in command of the bombing of Warsaw and Belgrade. In both cases, the cities suffered major devastation. Löhr was in command of the air forces that gave cover to the airborne op to occupy Crete. After the war, he was captured and surrendered to the Yugoslavs. He was put on trial, found guilty for the bombing of Belgrade, and shot on Feb 26, 1947.
