NOEL NUMBER Illustrator Manon (Marie Antoinette Aline Jacqueline) Iessel , born in Reims on July 4, 1909 and died in Orsay on October 30, 1985 , was a popular illustrator from the 1930s to the 1970s . She was also one of the first to make books in French. She illustrated many novels for youth signed by the Countess of Ségur (The Little Girls Models, Holidays), Mad. H. Giraud (the Sir Jerry Detective series), She drew comics for the Week of Suzette and Bernadette in the 1950s.
