Own picture. Tom Waits Closing Time. Again like his Heart of Saturday Night poster it's a very atmospheric poster of him, with the title in yellow on the dark background. Both are very similar in style but the font used here is more modern, curved and warped onto a curved path and is centred. Perhaps too dark for Kaz but I could experiment with colours, darkness etc.
Own picture close up of the typography used for this Tom Waits vinyl. Again very strong against dark background, for Kaz I would need a larger logo for her and the title of her tour. Think the font is good for a blues singer but a bit more modern than some of the posters I've looked at previously
Handy of New York was back on Beale Street in Memphis, Tenn. on May 1936 where his blues began. The composer of "St. Louis Blues" and "Memphis Blues" visited the bar at "P-Wee's" and the street's Church Park to play with the children.
