This is a mid-sized uke made of curly mahogany. The pearloid peghead overlay reads "Johnny Marvin Professional Tenor Ukulele" but is more like a concert in size. The body measures 10-3/4" in length with a 14-7/8" scale length. The nut width is a confortable 1-1/2" wide. The airplane shaped pin bridge commemorates the famous Lindbergh transatlantic flight. The instrument comes in the original purple lined hard shell case.

Jacques Concert Ukulele from Jazz Box Ukes
Yueqin, China, late 19th century. Moon guitar. Two double-courses of strings. Ten frets. Circular, wooden body with metal tongue inside that vibrates sympathetically when instrument is played. The yueqin’s name is also commonly translated as "moon lute." Yueqin tradition dates to the Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). The instrument is most often found today in Beijing opera ensembles and as an accompaniment in dance songs. Played with a plectrum.
