An amphitheatre or amphitheater /ˈæmfɨˌθiːətər/ is an open-air venue used for entertainment, performances, and sports. The term derives from the ancient Greek ἀμφιθέατρον (amphitheatron), from ἀμφί (amphi), meaning "on both sides" or "around" and θέατρον (théātron), meaning "place for viewing".

New Orleans - French Quarter I believe this is the Royal Sonesta. I stayed here for a week back in the 1980's. It was a nice trip but the only thing cool was the jazz. The rest of the area was terrible hot and unbelievably humid.
