Antique Victorian sterling silver sugar scuttle, having a hand-chased body with floral decoration, two cast twin-scroll handles, an original scoop with gold-gilt interior, and sitting on a pedestal foot with four cushion feet. Made by Walker and Hall of Birmingham in 1899. Length 16 cms (6.25 inches), height 12.5 cms (5 inches), width 8 cms (3 inches). Weight approx. 216g (7 troy ounces).
