When Did the First Playboy Magazine Go to Print?
In December 1953, 27-year-old Hugh Hefner published the very first Playboy magazine. This first edition of Playboy was 44-pages long and had no date on its cover because Hefner wasn't sure there would be a second edition. She is still with us today and is 71 yrs young now. Some of her film roles included: Return to Peyton Place, Under the Yum Yum Tree, Bunny Lake is Missing, The Cardinal, Harlow, and The Poseidon Adventure, in which she performed the Oscar-winning song "The Morning After" (which she lip sang to vocal by Renee Armand).
