A wooden framed box is covered with faux-burgundy leather and decorated with rich silver mounts and corners. It hinges open to reveal two-layered interior containing a number of sewing and handwork tools and accessories along with 14 various canvas and linen needlework and alphabet samplers in various states of completion. Excellent condition. Circa 1890.
Doll box 1890 On the look out for making my own. Ross always has really need boxes. Either a hollow book box, or a cute little treasure chest. Went yesterday, but they didn't have ANY! I was shocked. I'll have to keep looking.
