This is where my ancestors are from. I have no idea if they new that a bunch of men from "across the pond" were writing the Constitution. They might have envied America, and there streets that are "paved with gold."  There is a slight possibility that they had no idea what was going on over on the other side of the world.  Maybe they were too busy farming, or any other occupation that a Scott at that time might do. I'm sure they didn't know that one day America would become a world power…
