For this tween girl's room, we added a hot pink wood monogram above her bed, painted one wall navy blue, and painted her iron bed hot pink. The mint green lamps and throw pillows add another layer of color. The mirrored nightstands really pop against the navy blue wall.
We updated this room by adding wood floors and painting the walls and ceiling Anew Gray by Sherwin Williams. We kept the original nightstands but replaced the large wood bed with a dark gray velvet headboard. We brought in some color with turquoise lamps that coordinate with the floral drapes. The gold sunburst mirror looks beautiful with the antique brass hardware on the nightstands.
This watery bedroom proves that a high-end look can be had on the cheap. Designer Brian Patrick Flynn turned 6 yards of bargain fabric into a custom teal headboard, then matched the wall hue for a subtle, textured look.
This teenage girl wanted a simple pink and white bedroom. We made an upholstered bed with a creamy silk shantung and nailhead trim. To the white ruched bedding we added some texture with shiny shag pillows and a pop of pink in the throw blanket and pillow.
