Richmond Centre Dining Terrace (Richmond, British Columbia) - Conceived according to the design principles of Feng Shui, the goal was to create an urban, modern and environmentally-conscious design. The Dining Terrace, located in the space of a former multiplex cinema on the upper level of the shopping centre, evokes a restaurant quality environment using both indigenous and recycled materials.
The rustic farmyard influence is clear in the space, with a large barn-like installation framing the central interior. Inspired by Australia’s agricultural and rural heritage, Design Clarity used vernacular architecture to resemble a simplified country shed.
