1930s black crepe with long, long scrunched sleeves, a figure defining skirt on the bias, and a grand deep ivory cowl neckline edged in white rabbit fur. There's a hint of a medieval chatelaine to the style, yes?
Evening coat by House of Chanel ca 1920
30s gown of silver satin with long peplum overjacket. Deco seaming on lapel and aqua trimmed hem of jacket, netting supports puff sleeves.
Charles James circa 1959
This 1924 robe de style has a DIY crafty vibe to it. I could see borrowing the motif of the tumbling leaves in autumn colors, and creating an A-line skirt with felted leaves. And wearing it to work, which I could not do with the original.
