1938 Phantom Corsair, prototype designed by Rust Heinz. While planned to go into limited production, Heinz's death in a car accident in July 1939 ended those plans. This prototype was the only one ever built.
1956 AC Ace Bristol photo by Georg Schwalbach: AC came back to the market after the Second World War with the staid Two-litre range of cars in but it was with the Ace sports car of 1953 that the company really made its reputation in the post war years.
This one would be perfect for G-ma to get to work. Little green pea car! Yes, can't you just see smooshed green pea car when some uncoordinated SUV driver "bumps" into it? Not good- cute and efficient but that is a bit of problem.
