Bascinet with Aventail, Wallace Collection, London 1360-1380 ref_arm_1594_006 Composite helmet, as it can be seen that originally the skull had a center hinged visor. The aventail also is a mix of various patches of mail put together in the early XX century, as are the vervelles as well.

Bascinet, Higgins Armoury Museum, Worcester The skull and the visor don't belong to each other. The visor itself was formerly side-pivoting, later cut down and converted to klappvisor.
