A tiger god (虎神). It has fourteen heads up and down its body, all of them with angry staring eyes and bloody mouths. Its giant hand clutches a monster python with legs, coiled like a dragon, burning weird flames.
"A fore-edge painting is a scene painted on the edges of the pages of a book. Often, books with fore-edge paintings look perfectly normal when closed. However, once the pages are fanned, the fore-edge painting becomes visible.
