Project Senbazuru is an artistic response to the disaster situation in Japan. Inspired by Japanese senbazuru exchanging, the Project Senbazuru illustration aims to promote hope and prosperity in the midst of such devastation.

I actually this is more offensive than it is an interesting/effective design. This is not hopeful; this is pairing Japan with a giant wave, and attempting to encourage people by using the same imagery as the waves that ruined the lives of thousands upon thousands... I don't know about that.

I actually this is more offensive than it is an interesting/effective design… The connotation of these logo may hold different meanings to different people. Sometimes basic elements can also impact people depending on their nationalities and beliefs.
