Kimonos are handmade, and geisha usually get kimonos designed just for them. Kimono prints and fabrics change with the seasons, but they are always made of silk. Geisha also spend about two hours just doing their makeup, hair, and putting on the kimono!
The Nachi Water Fall is 133 meters high, 13 meters wide, and has a water flow of one ton per second. This is actually the highest waterfall in Japan and the object of the worship in the Kumano Nachi Grand Shrine.
Japanese fox masks for festival. Tradition said that foxes from all over the Oji area of Kita-ku gathered to visit Oji Inari-jinja Shrine on New Year's Eve. Now, people gather and visit the shrine in fox masks for a parade inspired by the legend.
