Momonari kabuto, russet iron four ken bowl, to the front a tosei mabisashi with deeply embossed eyebrows and to the rear a deep koshimaki, four lame ko-manju shikoro in black. A golden sun-shaped maedate, and in the rear a striking gunbai (signal fan) shaped ushiro-date of lacquered wood and paper drapes over the medial ridge. Prominent fukigaeshi, on the shikoro are made to be removable for storage, and display a floral crest in gold maki-e over patterned leather, signed Haruta Tokimune.

In Japanese, they're called "kawari kabuto" (変わり兜), which is often translated as "unusual helmets." They're some of the most interesting head armor you'll ever see.
