A board dedicated to Japanese tennis great Kimiko Date-Krumm. Turning pro in 1989 as an 18 year old, Kimiko established herself as the best player from Japan, where she was already a mega-celebrity. Kimiko achieved her highest WTA singles ranking in 1995 at #4, and she retired the following year at 26 years of age. In 2008, Kimiko returned to the WTA at the age of 37, and she became the 2nd oldest player to win a singles title in 2009. Kimiko's return to Women's Tennis has been truly amazing!
