How did I not know this baking trick? 😲 (easy slow cooker cornbread) | How did I not know this baking trick? 😲 (easy slow cooker cornbread) | By Kyle & Mistie Knight Casserole, Slow Cooker, Biscuits, Crock Pot Cooking, Slow Cookers, Crockpot Cornbread
Easy slow cooker cornbread is so good | Easy slow cooker cornbread is so good | By Kyle & Mistie Knight | Two boxes of Jiffy corn muffin mix straight into our crockpot one can of sweet creamed cornbread we're going to add some diced ham. Wow. Top half that package should be enough. Now this cornbread is going to have some kick to it. So I'm going to add some jalapeno. I like it a little bit spicy. Gilapanos. Jalapeno. Jalapanos. Am I even saying it right? It's jalapeno. Jalapeno. Did I do that right? I mean look at the thing. It says jalapenos right there. Oh. So we also need to have some milk in this one. This is a half cup of reduced fat milk. And we're also going to add two eggs lightly beaten. Now, let me explain something about these recipes that I do. Isn't this fun? Yeah. It makes it easier. Now, one thing that's important to know is that all of these ingredients can be customized. If you don't like ham, don't add it. If you don't like jalapeno, don't add it. You can make this however you like and also if you want to make it from scratch, have at it but I'm showing you the quick and easy version. Now, we also need some cheese. You gotta have cheese in the cornbread. It's like my job. Alright. Cheese It's right there. Oh, mild cheddar? Is that what you want? Alright, here we go. Mild cheddar. This is about a cup left in this bag. That's exactly what you want for this recipe. Just dump that on top. Perfect and then the last thing we're going to add are some fresh green onions. Of course, like I said, optional and now, we're going to just mix it. Mixing it right inside of the crockpot. And that way, this is a one-pan dish. It's easier for cleanup. I know y'all have been telling me that I need to try these crockpot liners. So, maybe we'll try that too but either way, you just mix it up inside the crockpot. Just get to the bottom. Make sure it's all mixed up. Okay, that looks perfect. One thing that's important too, if you do want to use fresh cornbread, make sure that your corn is fresh and how do you know if it's fresh? If it does this, it is not fresh. You don't want that kind. Exactly. But this is ready. Now all you have to do is put the lid on. Cook this on high heat for two and a half to three hours. I'm so excited to try this cornbread. It is ready. It's been in the crockpot for three to four hours and look at this. Are you surprised or what? Whoa. Don't that look good? I can't wait to cut this open and taste it. Now we put we put cheese. We put hay We put jalapenos. We put jalapenos. We put sweet cream corn. Mixed it up with the chippy mix. And now it's time to see. Oh yeah. Look at that. Look at that. This is perfect. Nice and light. Fluffy. I'm getting a big piece. Alright. I love cornbread. Okay. Let's see. Moment of truth. See how it tastes. Look at that. That looks. Is that what it's supposed to look like? Yes. It looks perfect. Look at that. It's completely cooked all the way through. I smell this jalapenos. Is it good? Mhm. Am I going to like it? Mhm. You're really going to like it. It's good isn't it? Oh I would definitely have that. It's really good. I love the mix of sweet and spicy. Mm. That's actually good. You were surprised weren't you? Mhm. You'll have to try this one.

She flips it over & it's beautiful! 😍 (pineapple upside down cake) | slow cooker, cake | She flips it over & it's beautiful! 😍 (pineapple upside down cake) | By Kyle & Mistie Knight | Pineapple goes right in the bottom of the slow cooker now we're going to take some maraschino cherries and they're going to go right inside of those holes guess what we're making pineapple upside down cake in the crock pot now you're going to take some brown sugar and sprinkle that all over now you're going to take some melted butter just pour that right over the top You don't have to be exact with your measurements. We're doing the quick and easy version to make this fast. Now, you're going to take some cake mix. I'm using just the yellow cake. There's also a nice pineapple cake that you could use. Dump the entire box in our bowl. And then all of that leftover pineapple juice that's in the can don't dump that out we're going to pour that right in and that's going to be delicious in the cake this is going to replace the water it ends up being about a cup 1/ 2 cup of oil which is what the box calls for we're just following the instructions on the box alright and we also need some eggs there on the top shelf that's in the fridge and get that eggs right here here we go great perfect so we're just preparing this a quarter of the box cake but remember y'all every time I show you a recipe that doesn't mean that you have to follow it exactly you can take this customize it how you like if you want to make that cake from scratch go right ahead it'll be even more delicious but I like to show you the quick and easy way so you have less stress for those of you that are busy families with little time Okay. Now, we're going to just mix this up and then we're going to pour that on top and this is going to cook in the slow cooker and one really nice thing about making cakes in a slow cooker is you can set it and forget it. You don't have to keep an eye on it like you do sometimes in the oven and it will be ready and waiting for you warm and delicious and also gives it a nice fluffy texture. It's quite different than when it's in the oven. It definitely is moist and fluffy in the crock pot. This whisk will work if you want to put some mussel behind it but I've got a better one than I think I'm going to use instead. Trying out some new product. Here we go. Yeah, not great. Look at that. It really blends it nice and quick and it builds up your muscles. So, Perfect. Alright. We're going to take our cake batter. And we're going to pour it right on top and then we're going to let the Crock Pot do all the work for us. Ready for this? Yeah. I'm so excited to see how this turns out. Yeah, this is going to be crazy. Never seen an upside down cake in a slow cooker. Yeah, this is definitely a new recipe that we are excited to try here. On high for about two and a half to three hours. Alright, our pineapple upside down cake in the crock pot is ready. I'm actually a little bit nervous. I've never made one. I'm excited to see how it turns out but the first step is to let cool a little bit because we're going to actually remove this part. Alright. From the crock pot. Get rid of the crock pot. You want to have it cool enough so that you can handle it. You know it's done when you can put a toothpick in it and it comes out dry. Now, we have to flip this. Alright, here we go. Okay, you guys, I'm nervous. Yes. Alright, here we go. Gosh, I'm I'm nervous. Be fast. Okay. Oh I think it up. Did your mouth fall out? This looks so good. I cannot wait to taste it. This is crazy. Alright. I'm so excited. I have a new way to make this cake now. Oh yeah. Nice and moist. Look at that. It's perfect. Is it good? It's great because you got the pineapple juice and the cake mix. Here you go. A bite for you. Alright, here we go. It's probably the best pineapple upside down cake I've ever made. Yeah. You did a good job with that one. It's really good. You guys have to try this. It's crazy that wasn't a slow cooker right there. I will put all the baking details in the comments for you so that you know all that information. You don't need the full can of the lemon about half the can will do. Um Oh, yeah. Okay. Oh, I smell it already. Right. Mmm. Okay, let's spread it together and make it nice and beautiful. Okay, this is going to be so delicious. Blueberries and lemons. Look at that color. It's so pretty. Right? Okay. Now, this is going to be a blueberry cobbler and my trick that I like to do is I like to put blueberry muffin mix on top. Oh, yes. It just makes it a little less sweet than cake mix on top. A little less sweet than just, you know, sugar but it makes it just as good. Oh my gosh. Are those little blueberries in there? Yeah. What? I didn't know blueberries could dry like that. Ah blueberry muffin mix is the best. Mm. And it's just going to be so good with all of that blueberry pie filling and the lemon. It's going to be so delicious. Yes. That's so much flavor. All in my crockpot. You're doing that all in the crockpot. So easy. Set and forget it. We're going to grab some butter slices. And we're just going to put it right on top of that muffin mix. Super quick. This is the blueberry cobbler. You'll want to make it for Thanksgiving. You'll want to make it for Christmas. Yeah. Oh my gosh. I always thought cobbler was like super hard to make. I didn't know it was so easy. Yep, it's that easy and you can just do it in your crockpot. You don't even have to use your oven. Wow. Oh my gosh. All this time I could have been making cobbler and I just didn't know. Yeah. Well, now you know. You can use this recipe for years. My family loves it and you gotta do that lemon because that lemon makes it extra delicious. I get smell it just like it's really popping and just bringing out the flavors. Yeah. Okay. We're going to use about a stick and a half of butter. Just kind of squeeze all that in there. Make sure each, you know, little part is covered. Mm hmm. It's okay if it's little unorganized because it's all going to melt and be yummy. Yum. Alright and that is it. That's it? Yep. I have my crockpot set to high and it's going to cook for about three hours on high. Oh my god. Yummy. Okay, I think it's ready. Let me see. All that steam. Oh my god. Doesn't that look delicious? That looks so good. Wow. Alright. Let me get myself a scoop. It's like a blueberry muffin cobbler deliciousness. So good. Uh such a good idea adding that lemon. Ooh. Oh wow. Get some extra blueberries there. Yeah and don't forget that lemon we added. Mm hmm. Okay. I need a scoop of ice cream with this. Ice cream genius. Yeah. It. Yum. Vanilla. Yes. The good times. Perfect scoop. Right on top. That looks incredible. Right? Okay I gotta try this. Ooh that cobbler topping. Ice cream. Yeah. Cool down. All of it. Okay, that's a perfect bite. Oh my god. So good.

And a teaspoon of vanilla and we'll blend it all together. And a fourth a cup of whole milk. That just helps with the consistency. Mm. And we're going to blend it together. It looks like very wet. Cleaning up real good. Alright, Kim. Okay. We put the aluminum foil over it. Does it burn? Yes, because the top gets real brown. Oh, look at that. That needs to cool for 10 minutes before we flip it. Oh my gosh. It looks really good. It does look really good. It's going to be beautiful. Mhm. That we're just going to flip it over and do our icing? Yes sir. I hope I put enough spray on it. Gonna smack it. Yep. Help her have enough spray. Did you smack it? Yeah I smacked it. Smack it hard so it gets out. Is it out? It's out. Are you sure? Okay. Peekaboo. Look at that. Like pineapple or something? Yes yeah but we already put our pineapple and blueberries in our cake so we're just going to have it just cool whip on those. Okay it looks really good. Oops. Tastes delicious I'm sure. Do we need our taste tester? Yeah it would be nice if he was if he was here. Yeah if he was here and around that would be great. Alright we got our taste tester. Let's see how it looks. He just had a big dinner so I didn't cut a real big piece. Oh. Looks pretty good. That does look good. Okay Tyler. Oh the whole thing in his mouth. Oh. I guess. I don't really know. Yep. Looks like it. I got it. I got it. One to ten. What do we think? I thought a nine. A nine? Mhm. Oh dang. It's good.
