The Dying Swan - Ulyana Lopatkina vs Anna Pavlova subtle variation in the energy from quiet pain to desperation to defeat ethereal quality comes from fluid arms ,supple spine, fluttery bourre, use of the back space Few only a few dance moves: bourre, wings, arabesque but use of time (fluidity, pause, suspension, hovering, fast feet) and energy (fluttering vs violent flapping) make it dynamic and interesting

Whirling Dervish: The mystical dance of the Sufis: Ora and Ihab Balha. So mesmerizing. It freed me from thoughts and gave me a sense of tranquility. It had a meditative quality for both the performers and the audience. The white cloth hiding the dancer's body and the fact that she closed her eyes made the movement entirely about the soul, unlike most dance.
