meet Ceratocanthus aenus, this little #beetle (averaging 5 mm) is a #scavenger #scarab beetle. They are indigenous to the Monteverde Cloud Forest of Costa Rica. They are also called the Golden-Green pill scarab for their colorful #metallic #armor.
