If I had to name one skill that is key in pretty much every important area of our lives – whether that’s family, friendships, romantic relationships, or work – it would most certainly be EMPATHY.

Sometimes empathy helps us and sometimes it hurts us. When it comes to making decisions, our reasoning rather than our ability to empathize matters most.

To compare empathy and compassion, research was undertaken. Neuroscientists Tania Singer and Olga Klimecki led this research. For their experiment, they divided participants into two groups.
