I like this photograph as despite not having an object to compare the size of this building to, the sense of scale is huge. This is a very static image, taken of the front of the building, whereas a lot of photographers would capture this building from an angle to show off the scale. It is impressive how Gursky has created a sense of awe from this very linear photograph.
