Japanese martial art Yabusame 流鏑馬 - TRUE AIM: An archer dressed in traditional samurai garb displays Yabusame (archery while on horseback) during an annual demonstration of century Japanese martial arts in Tokyo.

The Kamakura Yabusame festival is probably Japan’s most impressive demonstration of horse back Japanese archery. It takes place every year mid April in the Kamakura Hachiman shrine. Yabusame (流鏑馬) is a type of mounted archery in traditional Japanese archery. An archer on a running horse shoots three special "turnip-headed" arrows successively at three wooden targets. This style of archery has its origins at the beginning of the Kamakura period (1185-1333).
