Natsumi Hayashi Lives in Tokyo with two cats. Photographs mainly levitating self-portraits (and cats not levitating). yowayowa is a Japanese term meaning "weak" or "feeble." Since I'm yowayowa, it's really heavy to carry SLR cameras around.
Japanese photographer Natsumi Hayashi glides through Tokyo without ever really touching her feet to the ground. At least that’s what it seems in her Levitation photographs where Hayashi floats along in otherwise ordinary scenes.
Dangerous jumping makes it look like you are floating, Hayashi said in a piece Sankei Biz published this week. And thats exactly what her self portraits seem to depict: the young photographer defying gravity.
