Flying Mud Boat, a tea house that seems to hover in mid-air, is another surreal creation by Japanese architect Terunobu Fujimori (images by Kazumasa Onishi).

I am interested in the idea of charred cedar as exterior cladding.  It's waterproof, fireproof (very hard to light since it's already been burnt), requires very little maintenance, and has  wonderful colour and texture.  Could be used as an accent.
