12 JUNE 1959-24 October 1916: Hi Ebright: hit .254 with two doubles, two triples, a HR and six RBI in 16 games for the 1889 Nationals squad in his only big league season//played six seasons in the California League appearing in games for the San Francisco Haverlys, Stockton, Oakland Colonels, San Jose Dukes and San Francisco Friscos between 1888 and 1893. Ebright then spent four seasons as a player manager in the Western League.
The Honorable Judge Raymond Cardenas June 5, 1931- June 22, 2014 son of Jesus Cardenas from Chihuahua, Mexico, and Catalina Barela of Las Cruces, New Mexico. His father worked for the West Los Angeles railways. Ray Attended Nora Sterry Elementary School, Emerson Junior High School and University High School. Was the Student Body President and an All-Western League Tailback. He matriculated to UCLA and earned his B.A. and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1961.
