I think Hyenas are beautiful in a very dangerous, rugged kind of way.   They're also fascinating. Hyenas are led by their females (who are nearly twice as large as the males) and they travel in family packs (much like wolves).

Spotted Hyena at Dawn

On an early morning game drive, we saw this young spotted hyena in the far distance. He seemed curious, and started walking towards us. He was even polite enough to cross the road and relax in the better light.
