Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) (1904-1991), Class of 1925. After Dartmouth, Geisel attended Oxford and drew cartoons for The Saturday Evening Post and The Judge, a humor magazine. He went on to publish more than 40 books which have sold more than 220 million copies. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1984 for his contributions to childrens literature.
