Evoking pre-World War II metal bar tops that could take a beating, tables finished in zinc develop a charming patina as they age. We show you how to create one. | Photo: James Worrell | thisoldhouse.com
Not just something you smear on your face in summer. Zinc is a hard wearing and beautiful metal that will develop a dark, stain resistant patina over time. It has the durability and longevity of stainless steel without the never-ending smears and sticky fingerprints
this is a zinc countertop. This is old old school. it is a softer metal than stainless and developes a patina. you can have it formed but it is soft enough to cut and you can add edge bits I'm thinking $10 a sq. foot but will need to look at material costs more closely. If you had it formed you could probable just run it as a backsplash or just use it as a back splash.
