Ginger Rogers!
Collection by Classic georgie
I am a Ginger Rogers fan. She had many talents, such as singing, dancing and acting. She also had a very outgoing personality, which was very much part of her talent. And a beauty which no one can deny. I have seen quite a few of her movies and own quite a few also, and enjoy watching them often! Beauty and class, a well known classical actress! July 16,1911 - Apr. 25, 1995.

Ginger Rogers All star with Fred Astaire no one could beat their dancing

This week's Illustration Friday topic is dance. So I dug this out of the archives. I did this back in the 80s when I wanted to be the next Bill Nelson. He's an excellent Colored Pencil Illustrator who was at the top of his game back then. Since then I have come to realize we all just need to be the next 'us'. The piece is incolored pencil on Canson drawing paper and is 18" x 24"
Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire in "Swing Time" 1936. Costumes designed by Bernard Newman. One can still see the influence in it of Adrian's Letty Lynton gown.

Another nice option. Would transition in and out of 1960's fairly well, too. Todays 1930s hair and makeup inspiration once again comes from Ginger Rogers
