House Coffee - Logo Design - Logomark, Nice used of negative space. The capital serif H gives it that kind of elegant feel of the company. The cup of coffee is located in an appropriate position.

Arctic is a modern slab serif typeface by Matt Ellis.

This Slab Serif font has a lot of personality that lies in its accentuated, sometimes long serifs. It's very readable and would be great for headlines and signage.

Here is another example of a simple stylization of a logotype. The "A" in Water has a water droplet replacing one of the stems from the letter. A good modern logotype who's symbolism is easily identified.
