The Charles W. Morgan is the last wooden whaleship in the world. Built in 1841 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she sailed on 37 voyages around the globe during an 80-year whaling career. The vessel came to Mystic Seaport in 1941 and since then more than 20 million visitors have walked her decks. The Morgan is a National Historic Landmark and the oldest surviving American commercial vessel still afloat. Photo © Mystic Seaport.
