An Early 19th Century Primitive Stick Back Chair. An elegant West country example of sculptural form recently found in a shed in Somerset . Light colour with traces of a yellow varnish with black flecks to the exposed timber built up over the years of damp and dry variations of humidity of being left in a shed for years. 18th century fruitwood primitive stick back chair with original paint
SORRY SOLD Late 18th Century Stick Back Chair Of Primitive Design. This stick back chair is typical in design of examples found in the west country. With splayed outward arms of beech over a thick sycamore and fruitwood two plank seat with staved ash legs. Originally painted red showing faint traces mainly to the underside of the seat. In good solid condition ,the facing rear right hand leg is a period replacement. A real sculptural one this . 27.5" wide 17" high to seat 43" high to back.
17th century oak side table
Early 17th Century Oak Side Table. The three plank top over a single drawer with bobbin turned legs united by a box stretcher. The front and sides stamped with the initials EK and DW . A good solid table with a nice colour and patina,marks to the top and the bottom facing right hand corner of the drawer has a small replacement. 32.5" Wide 24.5" Deep 29.5" High. 18th century welsh oak lambing chair
SOLD 18th Century Welsh Country Lambing Armchair. Recently purchased from a Kentish farmhouse. A good country item constructed of oak and fruitwood with a natural colour it has not been waxed and has just been dusted off as the dry surface shows off its country charm.
